Strong & Beautiful

A dental crown is a tooth shaped “cap”. A crown is need when a tooth is damaged or defective. Dental Crowns can be made of metal, porcelain, resin or ceramic. Porcelain and ceramic crowns look and feel like your natural teeth.  Moreover, porcelain can be fused with metal to provide a crown that will allow for both strength and cosmetic appeal.  Metal crowns are the strongest and rarely chip or break offering the longest wear. They tend to be used for back teeth.

Reasons for Crowns:

  • Restore a Broken or Fractured Tooth
  • Protect a Weak Tooth from Fracturing
  • Cosmetic Enhancement for misshapen or discolored tooth
  • Decayed Teeth
  • Fractured or Large Fillings
  • Support a Tooth after a Root Canal
  • Improve the Aesthetics of your Smile

What to Expect

A crown usually requires two dental appointments. First the tooth must be shaped so that that crown will fit over the tooth comfortably. Next, dental scans will be taken to create your perfect fit. Our team of dental professionals will guide you in the best material to create your crown. Porcelain crowns will be matched to your existing tooth color, providing a consistent look. Next, a temporary crown will be put in place until the permanent crown is created. Finally, the new permanent crown is secured in place.
